M&P 15 22 on sale at Big 5

Yes it has, but it goes on and off sale at Big 5 and the coupons are off and on too. I just thought I'd give a heads up that didn't get lost in that thread. If it bothers you just put it on ignore. I was trying to help out others that might be interested and always find out after the sale is over. You don't need the coupon for this.

aslowdodge, didn't bother me, just trying to get folks to the full line of info on the coupons and Big-5 sales in general. Reality is you can go in and ask the manager for the sale price on a rifle even when it isn't on sale. I've never been turned down. Sorry if I offended you, not my intent at all.

No Problem. I was just doing it in the spirit of giving people the best chance at getting a good price on this. Even if they don't buy now, at least they will know what the sale price is so when they do ask the mngr they will know what the price should be.

That was good advice on talking to the store manager though.

Anyone have a screen print or link to the ad that is/was showing 419? The current sale price is 489 but the mgr said if I show him the ad showing 419 he'll give it to me for that. Thanks!

The add was for their fathers day celebration sale if that helps anyone in finding it. =)

jackofall,

The manager at the Big 5 that I frequent simply goes over to their checkout computer system and looks up the last sale price on an item in about 20 seconds. All he needs is the UPC. I'm surprised he is asking you for the ad. Just my observation.

Phil, thanks for doing the merge, good idea.

Halfswiss...that's the usual...the issue is that it's on sale now, so that's what his system says is the last sale price...at least that's what he is saying.

jackofall, I think you found what he is looking for. I don't quite get what you meant about it being on sale now. I thought it just went off sale. In either event, I was just saying that I have regularly gotten the sale price even when the rifle was not on sale by simply asking and the manager looks up the sale price and writes me up, so to speak. In fact, I went in and was buying a rifle that had never been on sale before and the manager looked up that a sale was coming up for that rifle and gave me the upcoming sale price. That's one of the reasons Big 5 gets a lot of my business in general.

Yea, I understand. The mgr at this store is saying it's on sale there for 489 right now....weird because it's not showing that in my local one...but I think this'll work to satisfy him. Thanks for your input!

Now I get it. The original non-sale price was 499. Then they went on sale for 489. Then they hit the 419 sale price. Sounds like they may have gone back to the previous 489 sale price. Makes me wonder if the manager would give me the lowest previous sale price or just the most recent sale price? I'll have to ask him. Obviously, 419 (and a 20% discount coupon on top of that) would be my target. Thanks for all the info.

I don't think you'll get the 20% off the 419 sale price as the 20% coupon is for regularly priced items...the 10% is for sale priced items....unless there's one I haven't seen...and if so please share. :D

And I keep right on learning. Even at 10% off that's down around $378 for the 15-22. I can live with that! I just saw that Turners is advertising the MOE version for over $500. I was wondering if we Kalifornians could get a MOE, and I guess the answer is yes.

Just in case anyone's interested, the manager allowed me to use the printout that showed the 419 price along with the 10% off coupon. So it was 377.99+tax and fees....Now it's sitting in jail.

I too just got the Turners add for the MOE version. Sale price is $539.98 and normal price is $599.98.

Best price I have seen for the MP 15-22 is at Project 2000, it is $469.99. Most other places have it for $475.99 on sale. I paid $493.99.

So, next time the coupon and sale come together I may have to get one.

jackofall,

Congrats, you got a great deal. Just curious, what are the three leading letters of your S/N? My Big 5 is still selling DTX's.
