M&P 15-22 Sling options......

Hey everyone!

I am looking to get a sling put on my 15-22. There are many different types of slings out there and I am clueless as what to buy. I need a little help deciding. I have held off from buying one for about 3 weeks because I am just not sure.

I'm not really sure about single point slings. Maybe a two point with a release buckle?

Maybe you can explain what you have, where you got it, how much it was and why you like the set-up? Pro's and Con's? Pics would be outstanding too!

Personally, I have a single point using the "factory" mount. It works OK, but I will be installing some QD mounts at the back of the receiver to get it to not hang quite so low.

I have a VTAC MKII padded sling which I can use on my 15-22 or 15T (or any other rifle, come to that). Using a Daniel Defense limited-travel sling swivel to attach at the front of the quad rail, and the regular stock loop at the back.

Using this sling in carbine comps - it is great and very well thought out in its design by a career SOF guy. Info in link below, but it can be gotten cheaper if you hunt around the web, I paid $31.50 shipped.
