This is just for fun. What is the longest shot you have made with your M&P 15-22? I check out this site a couple of times a day and I've seen some awesome setups being created with this rifle. There have been a lot of posts listing how accurate their rifle is at 50, 100, 150 yards and longer using different types of optics and ammo. Like I said at the beginning, just for fun, what is the longest shot you have made with this rifle? I'd like to know the yardage, what optics are you using, type of ammo, size of target, any other info you want to give on your "sniper" shot. Pics are always welcome. If you don't have long shot story, I'm sure you'll give it a try just out of curiosity. Thanks for the info and good shooting.

I've nailed Coors light bottles (empty) at 200 yds using Aguila Match Rifle and a 3x9 scope. With a full mag I can consistently kill a 6 pack.

100+ yards. 40 grain cci. Mbuis .
nasty fox was getting comfy in the yard

Mourning Dove on top of a small desert bush

150 yards +-5

0 wind

CCI Stinger

NcStar 3-9x42mm Scope

1st shot aimed 4 mil-dots high and missed (bird didn't spook just looked around all retarded)

2nd shot aimed 5 mil-dots high = Dead bird

Got 9 more with my Remington 870. Teriaki marinaded, wraped in bacon, little bit of pepper, and cooked on the grill with some hickory smoke. Good stuff!

**In season and taken with proper bird stamp :)

Make a chart and keep it with you when using a mil dot. You'll never miss a shot again as far as distance goes.

Oooh sounds like another excuse to go experimenting at the range :) Ima make a chart for each type of ammo I shoot. I'm sure I can find em online but what fun is that!

Currently 25m. :( It's all I was able to do. Will be hitting the 100m range next time I'm out.

I will post mine person best once the wife remembers to record me shooting..

I have other more accurate rimfires than my 15-22s so I don't waste the time shooting over 100 yards at most. As for .22 hunting the CCI Velocitor is much more lethal and accurate than the Stinger when taking shots past 100 yards.

100 Yds.
CCI Velocitor with a 3-9X42 NcSTAR scope.
Hit a golf ball standing from a platform about 6 ft. in the air.

I don't have any room to go out any farther. We use a .243 win in the fields when the rodents are eating the crops from the same platform.

Shot south approx 100 yds at a metal fence post. It hit it and bounced left to the metal post 50 yds away. Hit it and bounced north back at me. Hit the Keystone Light on the shooting bench. Open sights, CB mini cap ammo. No lie ! I set the 15-22 down and had another Light. No lie !
