Finally got to the range today, 2 weeks after picking up my M&P 15-22. Shot 200 rounds through with no FTF's or FTE's. This rifle is awesome. Absolutly no problem with it whatsever. Shot it at 25, 50, 75, 100 yards.... Nice.. Used the NCSTAR mil dot scope STM3942G. Can't wait to get back out to the range.

The beauty of it is that the more you shoot it the more you'll like it. It's the most fun gun I have ever had.
I feed mine a steady diet of CCI mini mags and for me anyway it seems to be the best ammo with very few failures of any kind.
I took mine to the range today for it's first shoot. I decided to not prep the gun before hand and also to bring along almost 500 rounds- 200 of which were some NASTY 20 year old Federal classic ammo where the boxes were falling apart, the bullets corroded and waxy and just downright yuck. I also had 100 rounds of just mixed junk. Well the 15-22 shot most of it okay. I had 4-5 FTF's, but re-racking the slide for a new round and it continued to shoot. The last 150 rounds were CCI green tag, mini-mag +V and CCI small game bullets. They shot flawlessly.
I'm happy. Just got done giving her a well deserved cleaning and lot of Break Free CLP. She'll be feed a lot better in the future. I have a brick of CCI mini mags for the next outing.

Let me know how the CCI ammo works compared to the Federal wal mart value pack. I have only ever used the Federal ammo in my 15-22 but I was recently reading the owners manual for the list of suggested and avoidable ammos. I am curious to hear from others with the results they get from different ammo since I wont be making it out to shoot for a few weeks.
