I have factory night sights, the pistol shoots about 2 inches low at 20 feet. Also have a Shield, a Glock 19 and Sig 9mm and they shoot POA. It's not me as the groups are quite tight and my other handguns shoot perfectly. Any thoughts on how to correct this other than aiming a bit high? Do you think Smith can/will correct this? Thanks!

Not sure how you aim, but I have learned that with my M&P's I have to aim "dead on" instead of 6 o'clock (image #3 in the picture).

Hope this helps.

2" isn't much. A file to the top of the front sight could do it, if you are leveling the front and rear sights. Since individual sight pictures can change impact this much and more, I doubt S&W can help you.

In the above example, I use sight picture 2 for all my other handguns. Guess I'll have to try #3 for the Smith

Look at Dawson Precision, they have tritium sights for the M&P. they show you how to calculate the correct height sight for correcting this. I was shooting about 4" low at 15 yards with my Pro with my reloads. Was not going to change how I shoot that gun compared to all the others. Problem corrected. Dawson Precision S&W M&P and M&P Core Tritium Front Sights - Dawson Precision, Inc.

I did have to use a fine file gently to get it started but they say that may be required. They tell you how to do that too. If in doubt as to fit for your pistol just contact them.

I have had this problem with Smith Autos all the way back to the 3913s which I had two. I run the front blade up in the rear sight until the front dot is half above the top of rear sight. Firearm then shoots with the bullet striking where the front sight dot is resting.

I'm using Fiocchi 115 grain ammo, which is quite accurate in my 2.0 Compact. Range is 15-20 yds. Three different range sessions.

Keeping the gun, a great modern striker fired pistol.
