Does anyone know if the 15 round 9mm M&P mags are the same for the 2.0 compact? Trying to get more magazines and some extensions!

I guess you're asking whether the "Colorado/New Jersey" 15 round magazines will work. I can tell you that my 17 round M&P (the original version, not 2.0) magazines seem to work fine in my new 2.0 Compact 9.

But to be clear, the 15 round mags that are out now, are the same size as the 17 round mags, they are geared toward states (as you indicate such as Colorado and NJ) that have a 15 round limit on mags, correct? They will fit but be extended like the 17 rounders are?

I'm fairly new to M&P handgun ownership (still heavily embedded with other platforms, have owned 1 M&P a 9c in the past), having just picked up my new 2.0 Compact on Friday and shot it over the weekend and trying to make sure I understand the magazine compatibility. Already loving the 2.0 Compact.

Yes that's correct. The 15 round mags that come in the 2.0 compact are not out yet. You can preorder them some places like Brownells.

I think I'm understanding your question. The question is whether the 15 and 17 round 9mm magazines are dimensionally identical except that there is a spacer consuming space in the bottom of the 15 round version. Sorry, I don't know.

Baseplate is pretty different between the two.
