M&P 2.0 FDE Paint Color Match

I have a new FDE color 5" M&P 2.0 with two 10 round mags. Unlike the normal 17 round mags the 10 rounders have a different type floor plate and come only in black.
I would like to paint the floor plate or maybe the entire mag to match the FDE frame color. Any suggestions?

Call S&W and they will sent u the fde bases free, someone else had this issue!

The problem is the 10 round mag floor plates are quite different than the 17 round mag floor plates and I don't think there are 10 round ones in the fde color so I'm looking for a paint, cerakote, etc in the correct color to match the frame.

it might just be the standard cerakote FDE but smith might have also gone with a custom color. you might give cerakote a call and ask them. Probably have better luck asking them vs. S&W

Take a mag to Home Depot and get the best match you can. Go a little darker but not lighter if you can't get a perfect match. If the best match is not a plastic paint, get a can of plastic primer.

Would the fde color shade on my m&p 2.0 w/5" barrel be a magpul fde?

FYI. Some people have had issues with their mags after painting or cerakoting them. I'd just do the floor plates.

Good point, if I can find the correct color I'll just paint the floor plates.
