I loved the texture out the box. It seems it has for lack of a better "broken in" after a few weeks still aggressive but more comfortable and nice a sticky feeling. Drawing it out my new Vedder Light Tuck IWB feels great. Man they nailed it with this texture.

I agree, much better than my Ruger SR9Cs and Glocks I've handled. Excellent purchase w/o feeling like your hands aren't be abraded. Don

Feels great in the hands, but too much for iwb carry (on the skin). I had to get a set of Talon grips. See if they hold up in the long run (?). I don't feel like using sand paper, would not be able to return to stock if I wanted too.

I too, didn't like the love handle rub, especially sitting in the car with a side bolster grinding my love handles into chicken fried steak. I lightly sanded the entire grip with fine sand paper and it's much better, and still very tactile in the hand. No marks on the frame at all.

Might have to consider that. Do you recall what grit of sandpaper you used?

I'm going to carry my 2.0 for the first time today so I'll see if will cause too much irritation. Too cold here in Philadelphia to go without a undershirt.

I can understand in the winter time, but I intend to carry mine all year long. Only a t-**** in the warm weather.

Carried my 2.0 all day today next to my skin and didn't irritate me at all. Had it under a long sleeve T shirt with a Jacket. I'm good to go.

I am happy for you, sincerely. I carried for a day and after a couple hours it was already getting irritating; by the end of the day I wondering if I made a mistake. I my opinion the 2.0 is a bit too aggressive on the grip texture (for carrying, on bare skin). Despite the grip texture I still love the 2.0 compact, its just something I'd not get if I had the option.

Just remember to lightly rub it over the grip. You want to flatten the tip of the pyramid, not remove the pyramid.

I did all around the grip, not just body side because I didn't want my T-shirt riding up the grip.

Like I said, there are no blemishes on the frame post sanding.

I hit mine with crocus cloth which I think was 800 grip. Does a great job just smoothing it out just a bit, simulates natural wear.

hate the 2.0 grip

I bought a 1.0 shield because I hated the aggressive 2.0 grip. It hurt my hands just to grip, forget carrying it, or shooting it. I think they took what talon grips did for the gun and went way too far imo.

My 2.0 Grip texture has definitely eased up since I got it doesn't feel nearly as rough. I think the oils in my hands did it.
