M&P 2.0 in 10mm?

Went to my LGS and tried to love that new XD 10mm and just couldn't get past that horrible grip. I was hoping S&W would have one but NOOOO! I want a polymer 10mm that fits my hand. GLOCK doesn't, not even close. I picked up a mod. 2 XD .45 though. Still wanting a 10mm. Come on S&W!! : (

Ive got a Springfield TRP 5” in 10mm and an XDM 4.5” in 10mm. Love them both but the XDM does the same job and just as well with a Powder River drop in trigger at 1/2 the price. I sure would
Ike to have an M&P in 10mm too.

As a current Alaska resident, I would be all over a 10mm M&P as well. I doubt it will happen though, will have to make due with a Glock 20 or a S&W 629. Would just prefer to buy a semi-auto from an Amercan Company, even though I know Glock is pretty american-ized now. Even though the 10mm lacks the oomph of a .44 mag, there is no way around the fact that for me, a semi-auto is a much more effective weapon.

10mm is awesome. A true hand cannon when you buy the full house ammo from Underwood Ammo. I bought the Glock G20 since there was no M&P 10mm. Absolutely love it. Way to big to conceal carry, but that's what I have my Glock 43X and now my 9mm Shield for. Can't beat the 10 for up in the high country though. 200 gr at 1,250 fps, yes please.

Well, I gave up on the M&P10, at least for a while.

I have a Springfield XDM 10mm, 5.25 inch on order. Looks too good to wait for a MP that may never exist.

meh, buy a 40, or even better a 40 with a ported or extended ported barrel,,, reload add a stronger recoil spring ,, VOILA ! everything current factory 10mm does.
Looked into this recently , most factory 10mm isnt any different than high end 40

I was browsing the S&W website earlier today, and one of the caliber choices in M&P pistols was "10mm Auto". Using that as a search filter produced zero pistols, but I wonder if that means there will be some soon. If not, why is S&W torturing us like that?
Why would you do this to us? I coulda gone the rest of my life not knowing this.

We had an extended discussion here on the forum last year on this topic.

While a bunch of folks bought and have been very happy with their .357 SIG M&Ps, and others run conversion barrels in their .40 M&P, S&W apparently had some issues with their .357 SIG models in the 1.0 M&P and eventually discontinued that caliber.

They never did get the NC Highway Patrol M&Ps in .357 SIG to function as the way they should, even though S&W spent a lot of time and effort both in NC and taking back gun for testing. They never found a solution. S&W ended up taking the M&Ps back. The NCHP now uses SIG P226s in .357 SIG.

Perhaps S&W has found a solution and made some changes to the 2.0 M&P? If not, I wouldn't expect to see a 10mm M&P from S&W.

That's very interesting. I thought S&W discontinued the 357 option due to lack of demand.

The super hot 10mm loads available these days push the limits of what a light weight polymer frame handgun can handle. I read about a lot of Glock 20 and 29 owners that have to use heavier springs before Underwood or Buffalo Bore will reliably run through their guns. If Smith cannot make a completely reliable 10mm M&P not making one is the right choice.

I would not be surprised to see a 10mm S&W but an all steel gun is more likely than an M&P. Still hoping for that single stack 10mm M&P but I am not going to be holding my breath.

Maybe, but Sig 10mm ammo is loaded to full power spec, and it shows when you fire it. Plus it's reasonably priced. Academy sporting goods sells it for $23 / 50. My handloads can duplicate it, and the XDM has a fully supported chamber. Serious 10mm is out there.

And there's no way to make a .40 shoot 180 grains at 1250-1300 without blowing things up.

Let me preface this by saying that I know less than jack squat about computer stuff. That said... Now that they’re offering the 610 again, I could see it being some sort of glitch in the website programming from where they added 10mm as an available caliber.

However, I really hope this is a sign of good news, as I would do unspeakable acts to get my hands on a 10mm M&P. Unfortunately, Smith isn’t exactly known for teasers or leaking any info ahead of a release. The smart money says it’s just a programming glitch.

That same list also includes 454 Casull, 460 and 500 S&W Magnum, 243 and 308 Winchester. Does that indicate even more options coming for the M&P pistols? Don't take this the wrong way. I am all in on a 10mm but this drop down list is certainly no indication that it is forthcoming.

I should have been more specific. My browsing was limited to the semi-auto section of the S&W website, which S&W labels as "pistols" for some reason. Along with "10mm Auto", the only other caliber choices there are "22LR", "380 Auto", "9mm", "40 S&W", and "45 AUTO". The "10mm Auto" was likely a programming error, but it's been there for a while now. S&W should either delete this misleading choice, or give us some hope that a 10mm semi-auto is actually in the works.

Sorry. That is an unusually confusing site to navigate. This time I went straight to the page you are referring to. Before I went to another page that still allowed me to select "M&P" and then had all of those caliber choices. Either way I am with you in hoping for an M&P 10.

Whatever they do or do not make in 10mm, the Sig 220 10mm is going to be hard to top. I bought one and after the first range trip, sold my Glock and Colt 10mm’s.

Yeah but I can buy two or three M&Ps for the price of a Sig and will probably find at least one of them that I like.
