There was a post on here about 3 weeks ago and I ordered 4 of them for $39.99 a piece. Mine arrive last Friday, so it took a couple of weeks for me to get them from 44mag. but I am glad I did, even though 5 mags was 1/2 the cost of the total gun.

Just curious... Are these mags crazy difficult to get, too? I'm having a heck of a time finding MP15-22 mags...

I bought 3 from 44mag a couple of weeks ago for $40 each....they still haven't showed up.

Folks - I called Smith last week and they're expecting more M&P 22 magazines next month. I'd hold off paying premiums for these.

I bought some at Midway a couple weeks ago for $26.99 ea. They sold out pretty fast but are supposed to be available again the 7th.

Glad I ordered mine between classes... $50 is terrible... but no local places have them and it sucks only having 1 magazine with my gun (Just ordered mine.)

Im getting my M&P22 shipped for $365 so I can't complain about the price of an extra magazine.

I'll wait for the insanity to die down rather than pay twice the retail value for a magazine. Patronizing the gougers just encourages them to keep on gouging.

While I agree with the principle of not rewarding "gougers," the price is merely a reflection of supply and demand. The reality is that while a new [so-called] Assault Weapons Ban is not likely to see the light of day from the current Congress, a Draconian restriction on magazine capacity is a very real possibility. All but the most clueless gun-hating Democrats (this means you, Senator Feinstein) know they won't get an AWB, so they'll go for disarmament through the back doors: magazines and ammo, through bans, restrictions, and taxation.

If $49.99 for a magazine that retails for $32 is outrageous, what do you suppose the selling price will be if a mag restriction bill passes?

I also ordered a few from Smith at retail before they ran out (don't have them yet, though), and just a couple of these from .44Mag. That will take care of my needs either until the mag restriction legislation is dead, or until it passes. If the legislation goes through, I'll be happy I spent a little extra. If it dies, I'm out forty bucks over retail. Who among us hasn't blown that much on things far less important than new mags? :-)

Life's a series of choices, and we each get to make our own. My goal was merely to let fellow owners know of a (short term, it seems) source of mags for those who want them enough to pay the asking price.
