M&P 22 MODS - GRIPS, SIGHTS ETC. POST YOUR PICS

Clean setup, I like it. What mount are you using for the Burris, any problems with cycling, because of the weight. If you dont mind where did you purchase the mount and did you have any problem installing it. Thanks,

Nice setup CRF450RR: Where did you find the CCI Troy Landry Edition "choot em" ammo? I bought 20 boxes of it a few months ago, but I shoot steel challenge and need more.

I bought a bulk case of them before all the **** started, I think I have 3,000 rounds left of the Choot em and 12,000 rounds different brands...

Thanks, just wanted to verify, I moved my mako mount to another gun I just bought and wanted to try something else for the M&P

Burris just brought out a mount for the M&P but, it's very hard to find right now...
I have one on backorder...

For you guys that are thinking about running the a Fastfire II type system on your M&P 22...
I went to the range today with 6 different types of ammo...
The 5 in the pic ran flawlessly, even the RWS sub-sonics...The only one I had problems with was
Federal Match 40gr RN (not in the pic)...

How much did that sight cost how well does it work for you and where did you buy it from? I see from that link they have a few mounts for m&P what one did you use for your setup? Looks like it may work great for old eyes.. Now if I could only get ammo!! George

Thanks for the info!! I have not seen ammo .22LR ammo in a bulk pack of 333,500,525 round box in almost 1 year around here. I been looking everyplace I go too.. I love the setup but hate to spend the money till I see ammo come back around here! George

Old thread, kicking the horse to see if she'll breath...

I have the BFFII on my FS 9mm (using the Burris Mount). I'd like to put a FFII or FFIII on my M&P22. Do I go with the SSS $54 mount or the Burris Mount for $47. Which is thinner? I'd like the mount to NOT stand up too high on the slide.

Best mod is to get rid of all that ugly white lettering.:D

...and install SiCo's adapter with o-ring engagement while waiting on Form 4 approval for a Spectre II.

In the meantime, here's a pic of the other side with no white lettering, and a fake can mounted to see if the weight affects the performance:

How did you strip the lettering without screwing up the finish? It really does bug me too...

Aluminum Black. Same product used to reblacken a lower after engraving your NFA info. Guy that engraved one of my AR lowers mentioned it was possible, so I sent him my slide with the lower since he had plenty of AB handy. Couldn't be happier with the look.

ETA: pretty sure he gave me some tips in an email in case I was going to do it myself...if you're interested I could hunt them down when I get home later this week.

Ahh so he treated the entire slide? Probably wouldn't hurt as mine is starting to show rub marks...

No, just the area of the lettering. The pistol was brand new. It doesn't affect the rest. It chemically reacts to raw aluminum to reblacken, and also happens to remove whatever was used to whiten the letters.

Ill have to grab one of those pens the next time I'm at a shop...

Not sure exactly how well the pens work...as he used the bottle and some small brushes and q-tips. That's also what I used on my lowers.

Pen may work just as well...let us know how it goes.
