M&P 22 or M&P 22 compact?

Edit to add: Just kidding. The FS has served me well and has served a purpose, and still does, but the Compact is rapidly approaching the most enjoyed 22 pistol I own.

The details for that site indicate only one magazine. I thought the .22 compact came with 2. Maybe a misprint?

I already had the full sized 22 six months before S&W put out the compact. I figure by now I do not need to get a 22C.

S&W redesigned many aspects of the full size Walther (getting rid of the skinny pencil barrel was the best improvement IMO). Definitely go for the better designed Compact!

We have both and the only benefit I see in the compact is for smaller hands. Both my kids are in HS now and even my daughter prefers the FS. The full size has about 2000 rds through it and we put a Hi Viz FSP on it and let it run. I can only suggest properly cleaning and lubricating and they both work fine on every type of ammo I can buy. Yes, even Rem Buckets!

The magazine is about $32.00 without shipping from what I see online. So if they are pulling the second magazine that is how they are advertising it for that price.

Some of the first posts I saw about the compact mentioned that they only got one mag. I wonder if it was a promo / early release package, or if the store just pulled the extras.
Mine came with two, and was one of the first two received by the GM where I bought it. Yes, paid too much, but had some store credit to burn, and no one else had them on the shelf.

seems (as others may have noted), early sales on the compact from some sites were just with 1 mag so they could offer the compact at presumably a "lower cost" then others.
Heck I doubt many here would use just 1 mag in a plinker, even 2 probably doesnt cut it when having fun at the range lol. So they'd have to turn around and buy add'l mag(s) anyway.

If it was me, i would not give any biz to a store or site that was taking something out of a factory package - if SW sends it with 2 then dang it there better be 2 in the case. I'd just look elsewhere to purchase it.

Only my .02 of course.

It's obvious you CLEARLY did not look at the link above in the post about Schuyler Arms. It CLEARLY states 1 magazine. I have emailed them with a question about the amount of magazines, and another poster called them. They have failed to respond to the requests for an answer on what is include in their offering. So until they respond and clear up what they are offering they are CLEARLY not going to get some of our business. Period

Hello, opinions are like SW everybody has one! LOL I to have both MPs. I got the FS first (traded a sig mosquito, ***). Both are great guns and will eat anything I feed it. Never any jams of any kind! I think the compact is a better quality gun than the walther. I have a MPc&40c. Get the compact!! You won't regret it

Exactly. They are CLEARLY STEALING one of the mags out of the boxes if they are only delivering one. The very fact that they won't respond is probably telling us tons.

Don't worry about it. I have read things many times and missed something in a post. It happens.

I have two compacts that were given me as gifts so no knowledge as to supplier but each came with two magazines.

Comes with 2 mags. Never do business with shady places that literally steal mags out of the box! Why do you think your emails and calls haven't been returned...

The compact is a marked improvement in regard to quality and design. Compact has a much better feeling safety, smoother with a very positive detent in both positions. The full size safety feels mushy and uncertain. Takedown on the compact is also better since you do not have to pull the takedown lever out away from the frame after rotating it down like is required for the full size. Also the compact has a captive recoil spring and metal guide rod versus the loose recoil spring and plastic guide rod of the FS. The compact magazines are also nicer although they hold two fewer rounds.
