Can anyone tell me if it's possible to convert and M&P .40 to .357sig with only a barrel swap? What other accessories would be needed? I am interested in purchasing a M&P Pro 5in. in .40 and install an aftermarket .357 sig barrel. I think the 5 inch barrel would give a nice velocity increase. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you do a search on this forum you will find dozens of posts.

You will probably find that one manufacturer has some problems with their 'conversion' barrel, and one manufacturer makes a barrel that is OEM and actually ships with the .357/.40 kit from the original gun manufacturer (hint hint). That barrel can be had for about $100 less than the Storm.

As for availability on the pro models, I don't know that. Smith is behind on everything M&P it seems.

Obviously I'm not the first person to sit her Pondering this idea!
5" 357sig.. Sounds like a dream to me :) Bet you could really take advantage of the .357sig cartridge
