M&P 40 alterations vs CZ 75 SP01 Shadow

I am having thoughts of moving to IDPA competition and am considering the purchase of a CZ 75 SP-01 versus sending my M&P 40 to Burwell for a comp trigger, pre travel adjustment, welded over travel and fiber optic front sight. Cost $220 plus shipping. I know this is not a fair comparison to the 9MM CZ but my rationale is I am not crazy about the M&P as it is today. I could sell the M&P at a $100 loss or take a chance and put another $220 into the investment versus dropping $1638 for the CZ (I did shoot the CZ and it is a great shooter). What are your thoughts?

I've shot the CZ a lot and although it is very accurate I don't like it's "feel" even with a full comp trigger job. Sure if money is no object and you like it go for it or get your M&P tuned and maybe do a 9mm conversion and see how it works out first.
