m&p 40 L

I was looking at a m&p 40 L the other day ....I want to know a little more about it. Anyone know the spec. And the years they were made? I see that there is a 9L but can't find a 40 L on the s&w site.

The ones I've run across were 5" slide, night sights and three 15rd mags. I'm guessing they were made up for either a LE order or a distributor special.

I know there was a number of the 40L listed on the BUD's site about a month ago. They were listed as a special run, I think there were only 15 available. I have never seen them listed on the S&W sight, but I don't look at the LE only section of the site. I have wanted one for some time.

The only diff is the 5" barrel. The ones listed at Buds had standard sights.

The 40 Pro 5" is a 40L with night sights and a S&W trigger job.

The Pro has been out for years, the L was just released (in 40) about 4 months ago.
