Dissassemble and clean your magazines. I like CRC silicone because it leave them very slick inside. Wipe dry and reassemble.
If they are hard to load the last rounds, slap the back of the magazine against your leg to settle the rounds properly.

I'm not sure I "love" my magazines yet, but can tell you they're a whole lot easier to load after 4 weeks and over 500 rounds. Either they've loosened up a bit, or my thumb has gotten a whole lot stronger! :D

On my 40c I loaded 10 rounds into the mags and then let them sit a week or two. That helped them loosen up the springs. However, it is still a tight fit to get that 10th round in. It's just how it is because the mag is completely full at that point. I think most fuller framed autos put a little extra room in their mags, even at their full capacity. However, compacts don't really have the luxury of that option, so whey they say full capacity, that's what they mean. LOL

However, leaving my mags fully loaded and sitting for a couple of weeks really has helped them out when I load/reload them now. :)

Humm, I just bought a M&P 40 Pro & I didn't notice anything bad about the mags. I guess it is because I use an UpLula mag loader. Cost about $30 but will pay for itself the first time you take it to the range. No more sore thumbs. Everybody who has borrowed mine has gone out and purchased one (or 2).

Yea I have an M&P 45c and my mags were tight as hell. But i keep them fully loaded and have had them for about 2 weeks and put around 700 rounds through them and they are not nearly as tight now. Have patience my friend...

+1 IMO the best loading tool ever invented. Hi cap, low cap, single stack, double stack, this tool handles them all. :)

Also take a look at the HKS magazine loaders. I've been using an HKS GL-940 model with my M&P 9 FS for around 9 months (nearly 2000 rounds) without a hiccup. It also works for the XD 40 Service I just got a month ago. BTW, neither of these guns is listed as specifically compatible with the device but it works for both straight out of the package. An advantage it has over the MAGLULA type loaders IMO is that doesn't require you to place the bottom of the magazine against some relatively solid surface while loading the magazine. It supports the bottom of the magazine by itself. Also, it's less expensive than the MAGLULA.

Yep, I also agree about the UpLula being mans best friend. They come with the range and carry kit for a good reason!

I got my new M&P 40 2 weeks ago and the mags when full (15) the # 6, 8 and 10 rounds slide back and forth. They are loose and rattle alot. Both mags are fairly easy to load, even though they are new. Any ideas?
