One other minor point, one that may not be a consideration to some, is that the "C" compact has no beaver tail. To me the compact version is the more versatile of the three, in that it has the shorter grip for easier CC, but can be made into the midsize by adding the larger mag.
I have the FS and I am considering selling it and buying a compact version. I practice with it and carry it very infrequently, and for CC and at the range I practice with my Gen III 4513 so mostly my M&P45FS sits in the safe.
