M&P 45 FS or SIG P227

I'm a contributor at SIG Forum...I see no negatives reference the newer P227...are you thinking of another pistol Arik???...I get that you don't like SIGs after 2005 but...

searches of the errornet have yielded no issues with the P227 but for a couple with individual owner pistols (none the same issue)...most anything made by man can have an issue but I've yet to read of issues on the design of the P227 itself...

The 227 is the new double stack 45 right?

I actually do like their stuff. What I dislike is how fast they went into Taurus mode with a certain new CEO, back in 04/05. It's hard to trust a company to come back up from such a fast and steep fall.

I own a German P220 have had 226 and am looking at a 3240

I would go with the M&P. I hate Sigs SA/DA trigger. I think they have a long trigger pull and long trigger reset. Nothing like 3rd Gen Smiths or H&Ks.

Yes, the P227 is the double stack .45ACP but I'm not reading where there are any issues to that pistol...not my favorite though (a thicker P220 would not be high on my list though)

I dislike a lot of SIGs business choices as well (zillions of versions of the same pistol)...I believe Mr. Cohen has moved on to another company...

I'll have to dig through posts because when I researched it it was maybe 6 months ago and those posts were already about just as old.

I like the idea of the double stack 45.

Hopefully he went to work for Hi Point or something similar
