I recently shot my M&P 45 after not using it for a while. Shooting it is a pleasure, it's been totally reliable, and accuracy is good. It's a very smooth shooter.

I don't see many threads about this gun, so I wanted to start one and see what other people's experience is. I modified mine by replacing the factory rear with the Apex sear, and I also removed the thumb safety.

I love mine too, it is a 45c and I use the 10rnd mag with xgrip, apex sear and truglo sights.

I have 2 full size 45's. The first one shoots great, but I might put in the Apex Duty/Carry kit this winter when I have a little more free time. The second one...I bought it, cleaned it all up, and put it in the safe. Haven't even taken it to the range yet. That's on my to do list for later in the fall too.

I've got 3, all Apex'd.

msjdgman, I'd recommend going with the competition kit. Its combination of parts will do everything the duty/carry kit does, but let you do even more. It's just a more flexible kit. Don't be dissuaded by the nomenclature, you don't have to be a diehard ranked competitive shooter to use the kit.
Really, the duty/carry kit's defining component is the heavier-than-stock trigger return spring. Literally there only just in case replacing the sear is too effective. And that doesn't happen.

I'll certainly keep this option in mind. I have installed the Carry/Duty kits into 2 of my 9's, keeping the stock trigger return spring, and have been quite satisfied.

After shooting a friends at the range a few weeks back, I happened upon one last night used in excellent condition with 3 extra mags (4 total) and the replacement back straps. Immediately took it to the range and got 50 rds through it. Great shooting platform. No hiccups. Decent accuracy for first time out with cheap plinking ammo. Hope to get more time in with it this weekend. Very satisfied so far.

I have had my FS45 for about two weeks. It's a great handgun. First trip to the range last week was great. Great accuracy with the cheap ammo I had. I put Truglo TFX Pro sights and the Apex Duty/Carry kit in last night. What a huge difference. Hit the range this morning with better ammo and the accuracy was even better.

I have one . I'm a true revolver guy but decided I needed to come into the 21st century , so I broke down and bought a semi auto . I have to say it is a delight to shoot . I cast my own and reload for it . I did an apex trigger kit and it was a much needed improvement . I am real happy with it and wouldn't think of selling it .
Recently a 30yr+ LEO shot it , in fact quite a bit and really like it . He told his patrolmen about his experience with it , he was that pleased .

I have 2,357 (+/-10 or so) rounds through mine. I had a feeding issue at first, but it was easily fixed and haven't had an issue in the last 2,300 rounds.

I put the Apex FSS in and that was a great move.

It's my second favorite gun.

I had my 2nd trip to the range this past weekend with the FS45. I have to say I love this handgun. The Truglo TFX Pro sights help alot with my old eyes. Here is a photo of my target 21 feet, 10 rounds on a rest sighting in the 45. My next trip to the range I'm not going to use a bean bag to rest the gun on to see how I do.

Of all my handguns, the 45 FS sits in my hand like it was made for it. I've had mine since 2008. Bought it new. Now it has over 8K down the pipe. Great shooting pistol. Love it.

I just bought one a couple weeks ago and took it to the range tonight. REALLY digging it!! Very smooth. It's stock at the moment only having a tac light on it. I left the light on tonight so I could try and get used to the extra weight on the end of it. All and all, I was very happy with it. May look into a trigger upgrade for it soon.

I just bought a M&P 45 compact with dark earth finish and 10 round magazines. Haven't shot it yet and hope mine does as well as all the above posters say.

I used to own one, but sold it and miss it dearly! It was the best shooting, most accurate handgun I owned next to my Glock 19G4. In fact, I've been seriously pondering buying another one. Yes, I miss and liked it that much!
