Any suggestions for loading the 10th round into an M&P .45 magazine? It's really difficult getting that last round loaded. I'm afraid I'll bend the lips of the magazine. It feels as if the magazine spring is bottomed out.

Thanks.

That's a typical experience with some new magazines. The usual cure is the load the mags and let them sit for a while.

Put pressure on the ninth round with your thumb and bump the base of the mag on the table once or twice. The tenth should then go in easier. They do get easier to load with use.

I had the same problem with my M&P40 compact 10 round mags. Bought the Maglula. It helped but still tight. I took all four mags apart and did some work on the followers. I don't know if your 45 mags are like my 40 mags were, but I removed some plastic from the bottom of the followers and they will take the 10th round just fine now. I removed about a 1/4 inch from the center cone and the same from the 3 legs. All my mags work just fine afterwords. I did one and tested it for a while before I did the others. Worked good for me.

Another vote for the UPLULA! This thing is great and you can use it with any pistol mag, not just the M&P mags.

I had the same experience with the 7th round of my CS9 mags.i noticed that if I press down with my opposing thumb it makes the last round go in easier.I bought a additional 4 mags with my gun and I keep 2 loaded to capacity with my carry rounds and alternate all the mags for carry and range use. They do loosen with time......God Bless.......Mike

UPLULA does not rank up there with the invention of the wheel, or the discovery of fire, but third place doesn't suck. I go to the range and wonder how everyone else has any fun jamming cartridges into hi-cap magazines.
