M&P .45 reliability?

I purchased a full size M&P45 on a whim and have been very impressed wkith it's performance. It shot everything from 185 gr. LSWC and JHP, 200 gr plated, 230 gr. lead, plated, FMJ and JHP without a single malfunction and all within 1 1/4 to 2 inch groups at 50 ft. In my mind it's a real winner.

My 45C is my EDC, and has been for several years. As far as reliability it has been 100% with anything I load, including my reloads. I had S&W do a trigger job and install Warren Tactical sights, and it shoots as good as my full size 1911 with better reliability.

I have had the crumpled mag spring issue twice, and S&W just sent me some blue springs with followers. They are using the same springs as the 10 round magazines, and they look like they will be just fine. Truly great side arm.

Glock 21 gen 4, any reported problems? - Glock Talk
Found this thread on anther forum. It may shed some light. I once read an article by a SWAT police officer, who fired the M&P 45 for 5,000 rounds without cleaning it and without any problems. He then dropped off the top of a van several times without damaging its functioning.
Still a tough choice though.

I owned a gen3 g21 and it was a soft , reliable and very accurate pistol but the grip killed it for me. Search for (Rusty the G21 on the site you have there. He put that pistol though the ringer. I would rent them to get a hands on idea. As far as 45acp goes , i like the Sig P220 series and Kimber 1911 Pro Carry series .
