Hey Folks

Been wanting a 45c for a while now. think it will make an awesome carry gun. My prefered setup is- manual safety, night sights, black frame. So if you have a 45c, pipe in here. Holsters you use, your experience etc.

I think the 45c is an excellent EDC gun. I have the 9c and while I like it a lot the .45acp is great. It is not a small gun by any stretch and does require some practice with concealing with normal every day attire. I have found that the Crossbreed IWB is the best for me. I am short 5' 5" and weigh about 160#. The height of the gun (top of rear sight to bottom of inserted mag) requires me to carry the gun canted forward and high as I can get it. Otherwise the grip does print. Understand this is how I view it. I do not think that 90% of the people out there would
have any idea as to what that bulge is. That said It is worth the effrot to be able to carry that gun. It shoots great...good luck.

I've been carrying my 45c for 18 months now most of the time in a Crossbreed supertuck IWB. A good belt is a must have. The 45c has some weight to it.Mine shoots great and I haven't had any problems with it.

Thanks for the replies guys. Been carrying for a long time now, had shot and carried a LOT of different guns. The 45c is Glock 19/23 sized which is my favorite sized gun, big enough to be easy to shoot, small enough to be easy to carry.

I have the 45c and 40c, I carry the 40c during the summer ( shorts and t-shirt ) with a CT laser grip, and an Mtac holster. My 45c has a TLR3 weapon light on it, in a Raven Phantom holster. Both have APEX sears installed.

The 40c is much snappier than the 45c. I like the 45 better, but ammo is more and it carries 2 less rounds in the mag. It is also a bit heavier. Both conceal very well.

All things considered I prefer the 45c, but I feel comfortable with either.

Thanks for the info. I'd like a 45c in something and was curious about the recoil, the 40c is very snappy! But then again, my other 40 is a P91DC, lot of difference there!

Mine carries well in a crossbreed

The safety isnt needed IMHO

The recoil is very ..... Very mild.

As you can tell from my name I am an old line 1911 guy, but sometimes a 40oz load is just too much for me to tote around all day, especially in the Texas heat.

I tried a Colt Defender, and although some say they are very reliable, it never met my standard for reliability in a defense gun. I have a buddy I shoot with who bought a new Defender, and his is also not carry worthy in my opinion.

I solved my lighter carry issue with an M&P 45C that only weighs 24oz. This gun is great for me because it is the same platform as a 1911, being that I have the thumb safeties, and use the small grip insert.

I carry this gun in a CTAC MTAC as shown, and it is 100% reliable with any ammo I feed it, and I can shoot this rig as well as I can shoot my 1911, which is very well.

I strongly recommend this gun to anyone looking for an excellent carry gun.

I've shot and carried a 45c for a couple of years now. Utterly dependable, very accurate, eats all types of ammo.

I carry it in a Blade Tech IWB in summer and a Galco Combatmaster in the colder months. I put a Hi Viz green front sight on the gun and it is a positive addition.
