M&P 9 trigger

Apex forward set sear and trigger kit. Smooth, reduced trigger pull, short reset, very little over-travel.

2nd.....night and day difference....FSS kit with polymer trigger. Very short take up, crisp, rockin, 1911'ish!

I put the same kit in my Shield and its a big improvement. I still had a bunch of over travel (3/16"!) and was considering a trigger bar loop adjustment but Apex advised me to leave the trigger bar loop alone so I attached a small piece of black rubber to stop the trigger a tiny fraction of an inch after the sear released the pin. Love it! I attached a picture. You will enjoy the new trigger and sear even if you don't change the over travel.

Go with David Bowie of Bowie Tactical Concepts

Bowie offers several different configurations with his trigger jobs, from maintaining the original factory geometry but dramatically improving the feel, to modifying it to the point where it closely approximates a single action pull. I stayed with the factory geometry but I've heard the other works very, very well.

Go to Smith and Wesson M & P and scroll to the bottom half of the page.

I did the "Burwell" trigger job and added the Apex poly trigger. Much shorter trigger pull and reset.

I improved the trigger on my Shield by only replacing the factory sear w/one from Apex. Did the work myself, cost about 40 bucks, nice, clean 4.5-5# trgger pull weight. Wouldn't want it any lighter.....Mike

Trigger Over Travel Stop

A dab of two-part epoxy behind the trigger is a simple, cheap way to get a perfect over travel stop. After hardening for 24 hours, file to desired shape. Paint when done.
