Here I demonstrate the recent barrel exchange I did in my M&P 40c. I bought a factory 9mm compact barrel from MidwayUSA and a factory 9mm mag. Its like having 2 guns in one. And you can also put a .357 barrel in the gun as well, making it a 3 in 1 gun!

Yes sir! Thanks for posting that. Some people just don't want to believe it. I just shot a box of 9mm through my M&P40c with the factory 9mm barrel today. Perfect.

Thanks for the video and pics!

Nothing against the 9c, but 3 calibers in 1 M&P 40c is awesome. I do apreciate how good and controllable the M&P9c is though. I like em a lot:).

eric-holmes, when did you buy the 9mm barrel? According to that picture this is the old style barrel.

I bought it about a month ago. I don't know what the new one looks like but this seems to work fine.

The new barrel looks like your .40 SW barrel. Compare them and you will see the difference in shape. According to your picture and response Midway is selling the old style barrel not the new one. Thanks.

those are two totally different barrels. the 40 barrel has a little step just below the chamber. the 9mm does not

Right. The old barrel is different. The new 9 mm barrel looks exactly the same as the .40 S&W of his picture. Look at this picture from the new. The only thing I was trying to figure out was if Midway was selling the old or new barrel. From the pictures I can confirm they are still selling the old one.

Maybe obvious but can you do this the other way around and put the 40c barrel and mag in a 9c? I went on Midway USA and they have the slide, ejector and recoil spring for both calibers using the same part number.

That's interesting. People said that .40 S&W barrel will not fit on the 9mm slide....... but if the slide is the same part number for both caliber......interesting.

Well I retract my previous post about them being the same part number as far as slides go, but there is something strange going on their website. They have both slides with nightsights listed seperately and then they have the two and 357sig listed all together in another.
