Will a magazine from a full size M&P 9 work in M&P 9c?

And does anyone make a sleeve to slip over the magazine and make it the same size as the grip since it is longer than the 9c?

Anytime you purchase a compact version of just about any manufactured weapon you can use the full size magazine for that particular manufacturer. It would cost too much to put a release or catch slot in a different place for any magazines produced for a particular weapon.

If you buy a compact you have versatility that you do not have with a full or mid size weapon from any manufacturer. With a compact you can carry compact and have full sized magazines (as many as you want) or not but with a full or mid size weapon you are pretty much stuck with what you have! It is almost a non brainer to not own a compact that you can change to a full size firepower just by sticking in a full size or mid size mag!

I am planning on selling my M&P9L very shortly. I am on the fence between getting the M&P9 FS or the Compact. Of course if had the money I'd just get both and probably even keep my 9L.
The X-Grips make the difference where I'd even consider the M&P9C.

X-Grips also makes one only sold by S&W that has the M&P logo on them. They are a little more expensive though than the original ones. IIRC around $17-18.

The lowest price I've seen is $9.99 at Streichers Police Equipment in Plymouth, MN. Thankfully they are fairly close to me. I was thinking of just going down there and buying one and then go rent the M&P9C and bring one of my full size mags and see how the gun feels. The X-Grips do curve on the bottom a little different than the regular size M&P's so would like to try first.

Of course if anyone wants to try shooting the Apex FSS & Trigger at 3 lbs. and you have a 9C then we could meet up at the range and swap guns to shoot a few rounds or 50 rounds :D
