You'll like it. I have one and it is a very nice pistol, all the way around. It is accurate, and it has the best trigger of all of my M&Ps, or of any I have fired, for that matter. It is extremely soft shooting - very pleasant. I hope the boys at S&W will see fit to make a similar model in .40 caliber. I like it so well I have considered buying a spare, but can't quite bring myself to it, as I just don't shoot 9mm that much, and already have a couple of other 9mm handguns.

I have only put about a hundred rounds through it so far (and may not put many more through it until I can replace what I shoot) but am very satisfied with it. No problems, good accuracy, and handles well.

Interesting.... I just got a 9L and with my limited range time, I'm not very impressed. For some reason at 7 yards I group about 2" to the right with the 9L compared to my SW99 and 1911. Starting at 15 yards I can't group with it at at all, which leads me to the trigger complaints.

The trigger break is 'ok'. Almost crisp, but feels way heavier than the rated 4.5/5lbs, more like 6-7. Its enough that I can't prevent the muzzle from jumping on trigger break no matter how hard I try.

All that being said, I've only put one box through it, so I'm hoping it breaks in a bit after a few hundred rounds, if not its going to Smith for a performance center job.

Other than that, it is a very nicely constructed firearm with great features. I didn't have any feed issues and recoil is more than manageable. I'm sure my trigger complaint are either break in or just a one off issue.

Consider Speed Shooter Specialties for your trigger woes. They were able to improve the trigger on my M&P Pro and on my wife's M&P JG9. Turn around was about 3 weeks.
