After two months of looking I found one of these yesterday and pulled the trigger immediately. It should be here by next Friday....I'll keep you posted:D

So I found out yesterday the moron that said he had the 9MM 5" Pro Series didn't. He had the shorter barreled 9MM Pro Series. So after I paid for it he makes this revelation to me.....***. Then he ended up keeping $33.00 if credit card fees. It's a good damn thing he was in Washington State and I was in Arizona. I could choke him.....$33.00 for freaking nothing.

And I just got off the phone with another dillweed that swore he had the one I wanted. After I made him give me the model number it ended up being the same gun the other moron was trying to sell me. ***? If you're selling weapons shouldn't you know a little bit about them?

So if anybody knows of a real one could you kindly let me know please? Thanks....Rant off.

Sorry for your troubles. However, you and I are chasing the same gun and having the same results. Several gun stores and a gun show have failed to produce it also.

According to the gun store I deal with, Smith is telling them they are behind and could be months before they get caught up.

At least you guys have a chance of getting one. I was trying for the 40 Pro or 40L but I live in CA. so no one wuld ship here.

I talked to Smith and they told me the same thing.....I'm not waiting forever......it will soon be time to start taking a serious look at the Springfield XDM 5.25. There is no excuse to make the public wait for a gun that has been out a couple of years.

Call your CC and dispute the charge. The guy is ripping you off for giving you bad information.

People must be catching on to the pro series now. When I bought my 4.25" in Oct last year, they had 5"er's as well.

Well my friend....you know what the answer is to that right?

Yeah, but I like living in CA. for so many other reasons.
I could single shot, or try to find one in CA. for PPT.

Since I'm looking for the 5" 40 cal, they have only been selling for 11 months, so they are hard to find. Two online gun shops that had them refused to ship to a CA. FFL.

Just to cheer you up; my Pro 5" 9 has been on backorder since May. No signs at all when it will come in and I bought a different model M&P 9 to shoot until the Pro comes in.

I don't want to start a stampede, but I just bought one from my LGS ; a 5" M&P9-Pro and he has (or had as of Friday) another one on his shelves. Mine is currently on Speedo's Perpetual Layaway Shelf, otherwise I'd confirm the stock number for yinz. Call Tim or Tom at John Brown's Armory, Rochester PA (724 728-4444) on Monday morning and you may get one. -S2

I want to thank you for your tip about John Brown's Armory. I talked to Tim this morning and I got one:D As I had said I've been looking for months.....without you I'd still be waiting. Thanks again....you da man!!!

Like you I looked every where & could not find one.

Luckily we have a Cabela's here.

I asked them to find me one & they had one in another store.

They shipped it in free & I picked it up .

Credit Card Charge Back

Then he ended up keeping $33.00 if credit card fees.
This is a total scam. As a merchant, who takes cards, I can testify that when you do a refund, the fees are anulled.
What you can easily do is called charge-back and it is not the same as a refund. That's bad for the merchant.
If you have any logs of your phone calls, e-mails or any other 'documentation' it will make the process seamless. Just do not try to settle with him, do not warn him in any way. You have thirty day charge-back window since the initial transaction. As others said: contact the credit card institution. When you do that, redundant calls don't hurt. Sometimes, they 'fail' to mention a technical step (e.g. an affidavit) first time around, and it may be too late by the time you realise that.. write down the person's name, log the calls, etc. I made it look involved, but it is not. Just trying to help you to cover all bases.
Good luck with your new toy!
