M&P 9mm Speed loader suggestions ???

It's a must have accessory. You'll wonder why you haven't bought one much sooner. You'll also end up going through your ammo supply at the range a whole lot quicker.

While I have never used any loader except the Uplula, the only thing I can even imagine being better is something with a motor that I just dump a box of ammo in and press a button that runs a motor.

I discovered the Uplula here on this forum, bought one, and have never looked for anything else. I didn't even think I wanted a loader when I bought it because I figured they would be just another PITA. They're not and I wouldn't be without mine now.

+1 for the uplula as well. I've used it on glock 19&23, sig, m&p FS and shield with no problems. Great tool. Every time I see someone loading their mags by hand at a match I try to load mine within visual range of them and always get a What the F face and let them use the maglula since I'm done loading way before they are. Once they use it they ask how much and where. :D

The uplula sounds like a really great loading tool. I have a Belgium made Browning High Power that is difficult to load .

This thread was interesting, however in my way of thinking there price of over $30.00 is somewhat rediculious for a product in this type of catogery.
It's an injectied molded product, not machined steel !

Please don't shoot the messenger, this is just how I feel.

I was going to say uplula...but got beat to it. Works great! :D

Has anyone mentioned the Uplula? (lol) I'm thinking of getting a second just in case I lost mine. That's how spoiled I am.

Another vote for an Uplula they work with every centerfire mag I have tried. A little pricey but worth every penny

Speedloaders are for wussies. Be a manly man and use your fingers. lol :p

While the uplula is very good, I've found that loading the magazines on a table or even with the base against your leg gives you enough of a steady platform to put the cartridges into the magazine very easily.

Another trick is to tap the magazine (or "bang it") after most of the rounds are loaded. This lines the cartridges up so there are no hang ups which make loading more difficult. Sort of like the Vietnam era GI's banging M16 mags against their helmets before inserting them into their guns.

Check out 0:46 of this. At least the rest of the video is fun to watch.

uplula or butler creek?

I recently got the M&P Shield 9mm and have seen some people online say that the uplula gets hung up on the side of the magazine so am wondering if the butler creek version of the maglula works better. For those who have tried both, which would you recommend?

I have been reading information about the MagLULA UpLULA, and found a couple of places that said it would not work with a S & W 7 round single stack magazine. This would leave out my M&P Shield. Has anyone tried with this size magazine?

Pidgeon Frap!! I use an UPLULA nearly every week with my Shield 9. Works fine with both the 7 & 8 round mags.

There is a slight hang up, sometimes, while the mag centers itself in the UPLULA. But its not a stop. Just keep pushin'. Works fine.
