M&P and .40 defense loads

Just curios, what kinda defense loads have you shot through your m&p .40. Trying to narrow down what loads to test so i know what will be reliable if ever needed.

I no longer own any .40 pistols, but when I did. My favorite round was:

Winchester Ranger T-Series 165 gr.

I have tested these through numerous guns. They expand pretty nasty also

Anymore it's unlikely that you'll find a premium ammo that doesn't work. Between gun design and modern bullet design there's little chance that a certain round will not work. Now as far as POA/POI goes there could be a choice but with the same weights the Golden Saber, Hydra-Shok/HST, Ranger, Gold Dots, XTP, etc,etc, are all going perform close to each other.

180gr remington umc jhp. Cheap and I tested them against everything I could find, including my black talons, and they perform quite well and they are cheap. Shoot poa too.

That said, I've put a few 100 Federal HST 155gr through my full size and compact with no drama.
