M&P Auto's With Crimson Trace Grips

I noticed a website offered a M&P45 with CT grips. Is this factory or is this something that the dealer has installed? I couldn't find any info about it on the SW website. With the CT grips do you still have the option of using the grip panels?

The short answer is "no". You cannot use the interchangeable grip(s) with the CTC laser installed.

But I found that with the CTC laser grip on, it felt like a cross between the medium and large backstraps. I'm 5'9", 165 lbs, and my baby finger to thumb span is 8.5" and the bottom of palm to end of middle finger is 7.5", and the pistol feels just fine with the CTC grips on my 40c.

I bought the 9mm compact with crimson trace grip factory installed. It's like getting a fourth grip with the gun. You still get the 3 that come with it, but you have to take the CTC grip off to be able to use any of the other ones.

With the CT how is the grip? Would you say that it is on the large or small size?

I have the FS 40 and the CT grip, its between the middle and large grip if you get what I mean, I have bear paws for hands according to the wife and others and the fit is great. Got the CT laser online and saved a butt load of money, shipped on Wed & rec'd on Sat. I have it turned off for now, have to get back to basics's first

I put Crimson Trace grips on my full-size .40. They are very close in sizing to the medium size factory grip with almost no felt difference. They are very comfortable. The only thing I have noticed is that the pistol is a bit more snug in couple of my holsters, but for the most part I am very pleased with the addition of the grips.

As stated, you still have the option of using the factory grip panels as they are readily removed using the same method as the factory grip.

I bought the 9c for my wife w/o the CT, then bought the CT off of a seller on eBay and saved about $75 over the factory setup. CT says it is the same as the medium backstrap, and that seems about right. It replaces the backstrap completely. My wife loves it and out-shoots me consistently with it. The only problem we had was that her 9c had the thumb safety from the factory. I had to cut off the right-side safety for the laser to clear. It was stamped metal and came off cleanly with a low-speed dremel cut-off wheel.

Kind of off subject here, but I notice several post that mention a FS M&P. Am I correct in assuming that stands for Full Size?

I find the CT grip slightly larger than the medium grip, mainly bacuase of the battery in each side. I have smaller hands but it's still a good fit.
