m&p barrel for sd40ve?

Hey m&p owners! I just had a quick question regarding m&p .40 barrels.
I have an sd40ve, there aren't many upgrades for it so I turned to look at the m&p for compatible parts. The barrels look similar but a picture is a picture.
Would anyone be willing post some measurements of the .40 Cal barrel? (Chamber width, hight, and length. And barrel outer diamiter.) Please and thank you. I realize I may need to do some mill work but it looks to be closer than starting with a barrel blank

That would be most excellent! I have a friend who is an engineer and has been retired for a while and has too much time and more equipment and tools than I have hairs on my head. We would love the project!

i tried this last night.....nope didnt work. the M&P barrel just kept letting the slide fall off. its also a bit longer then the ve barrel

I'm hoping to gain a threaded barrel and with the sd the barrel lug has a notch in it that locks to the takedown lever. The me appears to be smooth so my hope is that with a minimal amount of machining aftermarket mp barrels could be an option were currently the are none.

Threaded barrel? For a can on a 40? You might want to look at Lone wolf Glock 22 barrels, I will try to put one in the SW40, and check it today. Be Safe,
