Is the M&P Compact 2.0 available from Smith with a flat trigger without the optics cut out? If not, can the factory flat trigger be installed in a "standard" Compact 2.0? I could not determine the answer from the S&W web site. Thanks.

No, the M&P M2.0 Compact is not available with a flat trigger and without the optics cut at this time, at least not that I know of.

Yes, the factory flat trigger bar and trigger shoe can be installed in a "standard" M&P M2.0 Compact.

That's what I did with two M&P M2.0 Compact pistols. Aside from needing correct size punches and being careful to install the trigger return spring in the correct orientation, install was straightforward.

I did the same to my M&P M2.0 full-size performance center pistol as well as installing a sear block from the new M&P M2.0 Metal pistol. I might do this to my Compact pistols as well.

So does the flat trigger and bar shorten the pretravel or change where the trigger brakes?

I bought them on eBay from the seller freestonearmory. He doesn't have them for sale at the moment. He parts out completely new guns on eBay except for the frame which he offers on GunBroker.

As has been said, yes, the newer trigger assembly can be installed in the older 2.0 pistols. I also did this myself. The bar is identical to the older 2.0 trigger bar.

See HERE and HERE

I also put the sear from the metal version in mine as can be seen HERE

Parts from FREESTONE ARMORY
