M&P CORE and DeltaPoint mounting question

I noticed that the DeltaPoint comes with either a "Cross-Slot" or "Kit" for mounting.

On the CORE 9L, does it need these plates, or does it mount onto S&W's plates directly?

Looking at S&W's spec picture, I don't see anything between what looks like the S&W mount, and the sight itself.

Well, I think I have answered my own question by referencing the S&W online User Manual (I don't have the M&P just yet), and comparing the plate against the DeltaPoint kit.

Seems the CORE has the plate with guide pins that match the mounting surface on the DeltaPoint.

So BoTachTactical has the DeltaPoint 3.5 (Rail Mount) for $310. Just bought it.

I just received my MRDS and mounted it on my CORE 9L on Monday. The plastic plate on top of the handgun comes off, the optic-specific mounting plate goes back on and should screw in, followed by the optic itself which screws into it's respective mounting plate. As long as you follow that M&P user guide you should be good to go! Enjoy

i bought the crossmount deltapoint for my core9 and had no problem, the core came with the appropriate mounting plate, everything fit perfectly and was easy to assemble. no need to spend the extra money for the mounting plates from leupold. i paid $300 new for my deltapoint about a month ago,
