Does anybody happen to know if there's a base plate out there in the market that's thinner in height to make the rmr sit lower on the slide?

I have certainly not heard of one. Those plates are not that thick, and with the Trijicon RMR, the red dot can be co-witnessed with the sights.

Apart from the RMR, I have little use for the other brands as they are either too fragile or do not allow the sights to be co-witnessed.

The stock CORE sights are very visible. Base is as thin as the others supplied now. Any thinner and strength of the base is compromised as you do have to screw thru it and to it. We use a RM05g on ours

Yes, I'm holding my CORE with the RMR now and the sight co-witnesses perfectly. I wish the Insight MRDS did, but the current model doesn't.

I've got over 40K rounds on my Deltapoint, it co-witnesses and I don't think it's very fragile. ;)
