M&P CORE trigger not resetting?

Hello:

I have a fairly new M&P Pro Series CORE 9mm with the 4.25" barrel. It has started to occasionally fail to reset after firing a round. It happens with a variety of ammunition including factory and handloaded. It doesn't seem to matter if the loads are plus-P or competition softies.

I need to clarify: the sear is not resetting, resulting in a dead trigger and it must be cocked again to get it to fire.

Is this a known problem and how is it remedied?

What is the manufacturing year of your MP?

Below depends on the year of your MP
The fix is the large sear spring and plunger that the newer M&Ps made after Sept.2010 have. The standard spring and plunger simply cannot keep up during recoil.

My M&P was built within the last six months. It came with the larger-sized spring and plunger.

Talked to Jon at Apex and he advised what to look for and ways to solve the dead-trigger issue.

It was a surprise how many people wrote and said (insisted?) that it was operator error. Don't know why.

What were the solutions offered by John at Apex? I have been played with similar dead trigger issues after I install the apex trigger and springs.

If you have a solution for your pistol, please post it here as I would really like to see what works.

Good deal
Hope ya pin point the issue.

Operator error is always the problem :)
My MP 9 Performance Center couldn't hold 5" groups at 20-25 yards so I posted if anybody had same issues. Got a lot of replays OP error. Only if they knew me, there's always someone better than me but I can hold my own when it comes to shooting. I did put a Apex barrel in it took care of that issue. Highly recommend there barrel.

Triggar bar needs adjustment? only because i looked into that for my Shield and closing the loop too much (reducing too much OT) can result in a dead trigger.
