M&P M2.0 C.O.R.E.

As nearly every competition series has experienced an explosion in participation of carry optics division competitors, we really only have M&P 1.0 or Shield 2.0 based optics-ready pistols.

There is only a single rare M2.0 LE only 4.25" model that cannot be found anywhere.

This is a serious gap in the M&P lineup for competition shooters. (And likely duty pistols as optics are starting to be broadly accepted by Law Enforcement agencies)

Do we even have the 1.0 based versions any more? Last time I looked on the S&W website I only saw the optics ready Shields the first few online stores I tried were sold out of the 1.0 CORE.

Maybe we will get lucky and the 1.0 is being phased out to make room for the 2.0 version.

Like I have been saying, an M&P 2.0 5" CORE in 10mm. You can shoot 40 or 357SIG with a barrel change, and maybe recoil spring change. How does S&W NOT get this?

There is a 5" M2.0 CORE version coming, that is guaranteed, but when I don't know.
I think that the strategy S&W have had around the M2.0 lineup is a bit weird and I don't quite understand the logic behind it. Why launche a 5" modell in only FDE and wait 2 years before starting making it in black? Why launche an optics ready M&P SHIELD before a 5"?

My understanding is that the 2.0 with the optics cut is now being offered to Law Enforcement departments only. Some LEO's have also been able to purchase personal pistols with the optic ready package from specialized distributors.

Perhaps once supply catches up with demand, S&W will offer these to the general public. I have no idea when this offer will be available.

We have not been informed that there is a CORE version of the M&P 2.0 series other than the SHIELD and I can’t find anything in the S&W pricelist that I got. So, I believe there is not a full-size CORE version, even that is LE/MIL only.

Now available in both 9mm and 40 with your choice of 4.25 or 5 inch barrels. Porting is an option in all those configurations. Mine is going to be an unported 9mm with the 5 inch barrel. Now I need to pick out an optic for it.

but when you use the 10mm pull down, it shows nothing. very disappointing......
