M&P OR Optics Ready Handguard & BUIS Advice

Hey guys, have both the 5.56 & 300 Blackout on the Optics Ready platform.

Question is, does anyone make a drop in extended handguard that looks good with the higher profile gas block SW uses?

I can find them for the traditional A2 sight, but not sure what that would look like, it appears the gap is much larger, but I could wrong.

Next part of the question is, if my only choice is a carbine length handguard, unless I replace the gas block, does anyone know for sure if Magpul pro sight will fold down completely with the Mapul MOE handguard and the MOE-SL?

I replaced the gas block on my original M&P Sport 2, it's not too difficult, but if there was an option to avoid doing that and get a longer handguard, that would be preferred.

Any advice guys could give, especially if you have a picture of a drop in extended handguard on a OR would be very appreciated.

Sorry but 99% of current handguards are designed to go over a low profile gas block. The railed gas block is too tall/bulky

Replacing the block and then going with a 13/15 inch handguard would be your best bet.

Can't help with the sight question.

OK that style is of course the exception. Danial Defense and at least one other maker does those two piece handguards designed to fit OVER a standard post front sight.
