Hello new Poster here and i have a question about sending my gun to S&W for some work.

I have a M&P .45 full size with a Storm Lake match barrel.

I was wondering if anyone has or knows if sending my gun into S&W for their M&P Pistol Action Package is worth the $120. Or if anyone knows of a better option to go. I have some gunsmithing skills but only with my duty weapons never messed with a M&P.

The package includes:
Polish Ramp
Tuned Action
Install Performance Center Sear
Test Fire for Function

There is something to be said about having the factory perform the action work. Having never shot a pistol with the factory M&P action package, I'm not much help in this department.

I can say, however, that Apex makes some wonderful products to help you get the action working much better than standard. I have been very happy with the Apex DCAEK product. It costs less than the factory action package and if you install it yourself, you learn about the inside of your gun as well. By just replacing and keeping the factory parts, the whole thing is reversible.

Apex destroys the action package and as far as the polish and cleanup, you can do it yourself. Very easy, YouTube videos from Apex step by step instructions to install, and others such as Burwell trigger job to show how to tweak your M&P to perfection!

In layman's terms, the S&W action package is like ehhh... Ok its better than before. The Apex DCAEK and Ram is like WOW! HUGE DIFFERENCE!

but like anything that's just my opinion...

what about the FSS by APEX looks just like the DCAEK but with a replacement trigger?

I have the FSS and really like the trigger. One thing to note, the springs that come with the FSS are not the same as the DCAEK so you will get a lighter pull. You can simply buy the duty/carry springs though to bring it back up a bit. The FSS trigger pull is not as light as the competition kit though. The trigger is made of aluminum, has a flat face and a small trigger safety lever. The flat face helps me feel if I'm getting a good straight press to the rear.
