I've been planning on buying an M&P 40 for a while now. So today when my son in law called to say he'd just gotten a new M&P40 Pro I shot straight over to take a look. All I have to say is, very freakin nice. Fit my hand like it was made for me and the balance was fantastic. Not too heavy or too light either. The trigger really simpressed me. I was expecting a trigger pull similar to shooting a double action revolver so it surprised me that after taking up the slack it just went "click". I had not expected it to be so nice at all. Now my question. How much of a difference is there between the Pro and the standard full size model. I know that the Pro has a 3/4" longer barrel and the trigger pull itself is about 1 to 1.5 pounds lighter. I am not a competitive shooter or anything and there's about $100 to $150 difference between the two. I suppose the trigger is something that could be changed if I wanted. How much affect does the longer barrel really have.
