M&P safety

cbr6864; And the firing pin lock plunger. And the drop safety on the trigger. I too would like a sear lock. But w/ the M&P design, it's not going to happen. It would require a complete redesign of the weapon.
I have no fear of carrying a M&P w/ the thumb safety, as it is quite safe, when on. I wish it was a bit stiffer, but that can be rectified easily. I was(am?) a 1911 man from way back, so I understand.

i really like the TS on my 9C. easy to operate, especially important for a butt pucker situation, which is really the only time it is critical. The sweep adds zero time during my draw. You can cut the off side lever off as well. I'm going to take the right side off for a CT grip laser. I could see shaving the tab down a bit as well as mentioned previously.

talking about scary safeties, its the minimal safety levers that seem great for no snags/streamlined but theres no way i'd trust my life on being able to sweep a very streamlined safety in the heat of the moment.

I really prefer having the safety on my M&P's as well..
but they do suck really badly (with exception to the Shield).
I would imagine that if one or more of the major aftermarket companies could come up with a nice tight drop in replacement they would make a killing.
I'd certainly be quick to place orders for mine.:D

The only M&P I've owned with a thumb safety was my 45c. The "safety" came off within a week after getting the gun. Not impressed!
