Anybody know when the Shield chambered in .40 is gonna be available? S&W read my mind with the release of this gun and I'm impatiently waiting...
As far as snappy recoil the 40 well anything is to some degree, but with the high grip angle of both the 40C and the full size it is easily manageable at least for me. There is not a handgun made that I can not control that I have shot the 9mm is like a bb gun and the 45 pushes back a little but the 40 seems to go upwards a 357SIG or Magnum also snaps upwards in my experience.I want a .40 S&W M&P Shield, and I want it yesterday! In all honesty, I'll probably hold off until I read some real life user reviews or the local shop has one for rent. I shot a PPS .40 a few weeks ago, and had read about the "snappy" recoil. I didn't really buy into it, as there are alot of claims of .40 being "snappy" in general that I've never experienced. BUT......the PPS gave me a new understanding of "snappy" recoil. I would not buy a .40 PPS after having shot one now. Hopefully the M&P Shield will not be like this.
Tuesday or Wednesday of next week the 17th or 18th of April is when the Shield 9MM will be delivered, but I want a 40 caliber and it might be next month, I've got enough 9MM guns but only a couple of 40 calibers both M&P's the compact as well as the full size, so a super compact Shield40 would be great, and as soon as they are available I will have on of them.
My only problem is that I am now out of space for my signature and the Shield takes too many characters anyway!
