M&P Shield 9mm / Anyone having issues?

I'm thinking about buying a S&W Shield in 9mm and thought I would check to see if anybody is having issues before I moved forward. Thanks!!

I haven't had a single issue with mine at all. It will fire anything with a primer. I have heard about them being shipped without strikers installed. Doesn't make sense if it comes with the spent shell casing with the gun.

Oh well.

Mine has been flawless. Not one malfunction. For being that small, it's easy to shoot and is a tack driver.

Get it, and you won't regret it.

A buddy of mine did have issues with his Shield 9.
He sent it back to S&W twice - on their dime - and it still jammed.
They finally sent him a whole new Shield, which has been flawless (as has mine).
The point is this: anybody can turn out a lemon now and then. And the process played out over a few months. But the bottom line is that Smith & Wesson made it right.

Had mine for about a year now. Initial FTEs, hard to rack for first 250 rounds or so (my wife couldn't do it), but now runs perfectly, my wife can rack it, very accurate, a sweet pistol. Search other threads for the Shield 9, and you'll see many common issues out of the box which seem to resolve themselves after a break-in period.

I've seen people have some issues with them thanks to google but in my own experience mine was perfect out of the box and no issues what so even, fun and easy gun to shoot, good luck. BTW gunbuyer has the shield 9 for $339.00 + free shipping if thats what you're looking for.

We've had two in 9mm for quite awhile. They started out perfect, but the longer we've had them, the less dependable they've become. I am dumping them. I carry a Walther PPS now.

We have had a pair of 9mm Shields for over a year now and both are running perfect and shoot accurately just like the 1st day we got them.

Got mine a few weeks ago. Went to the hunting club today, fired a box of shells,,,NO problems at all. Great gun!

Had mine 3 months and 500+ rounds with 0 problems. I love it.

2 years and 3,800 rounds. Accurate and flawless. Carries nice in IWB Alien gear.

Mine has been flawless its a late 2014 build gun , Good to go .
