Why monkey with the trigger on the Shield?

Because good can be made better. Lost almost 1/16 inch sear pull. Lost over 1/16 inch of overtravel. Reduced reset by just under 1/4 inch. To me the most important is I reduced the trigger pull over 2 pounds.

I understand some people just will not modify a gun. Others say they won't do anything to their carry gun. This Shield is my main carry gun. It has all the factory safeties in place. I improved the trigger action which makes it a better shooter. My Shield is not a range gun, but you better train with the gun you carry for SD. If it a better shooter, it is also a better SD gun. Please don't say in a SD situation the trigger pull does not matter. I am a retired PO and we trained for trigger control. If you control the trigger, the bullets are more likely to hit their target.

Got it, Bob, and thanks. I'm still new with mine. After I install the XS Big Dot this week and try it, I may consider your choice. I've heard of the kit for J frames but not M&P's.

Any thoughts if you actually have to use a modified firearm in self-defense and how much the Cival attorney is going to tear you apart when it goes to court????
