M&P Shield Likes and mods

Thinking of night sights or fiberoptic sights to my shield 9. Besides that its perfect for me. May get an extra short magazine and a Pearce extension.

I bought a 40 and liked it so much I bought a 9. I feel like a polygamist at bedtime when trying to decide what to carry for the day.

I only added Traction Grips, the color is an almost perfect match and they look like they came from the factory.

Shot mine this past week. Its a Shield in .40 and no issues.
Plan to use it as my carry once I get around 400 rounds in it with no hiccups. Not used to the thinner frame yet, so accuracy is abit more than usual, but this too will get better iam sure.

Like mine quite a bit and it has become my daily carry firearm.

About 400 flawless rounds through it, mix of 115gr ball, 124gr HP and Hornady Critical Defense and Critical Duty. So far, no FTF or FTE.

Only issue is the front sight is a little off center causing it to shoot about 3/4" left at 10 yards. I tried to move it but that bugger is in there tight and I don't have a sight pusher so I'm leaving it alone for now. 3/4" isn't going to change the end result if I ever did have to ventilate a bad guy.

No mods, bought a couple spare mags.

Considering night sights but that's going to have to wait a while till I can afford it.

9 shield has been great out of the box.8 round mags is easier for my fat hands 7 better for CC. I just dont like the sites at all but looking here for what others like. It has turned into my EDC now and one of the best for me.

My wife and I both have shields in 9mm and we love them. Eats anything I have put in her, 115 gr 124 gr reloads, 124 +P and it loves Hornady critical duty 124 gr.

My loves her shield stock. Me I added talon rubber grips and polished the barrel. I love it!!

i like the gun . trigger not so much. suppost to be 6.5 lbs but its 8.5. ive put 500 rounds in the gun and it hasnt failed me yet.
You might have ended up with one of the MA. models. The state of Massachusetts requires a 10lbs trigger pull. An APEX trigger kit will fix that.

Factory 9mm drop in barrel for the .40.

It's hard to go wrong with one weapon that shoots both calibers.
Where did you get the drop in barrel? I would be interested in one of those in .40 caliber to drop in my 9mm. Yes, it can go both ways. The frame is basically the same. ;)

Love the Shield. The only thing I have changed are the Talon rubber grips that I added. Makes a great gun even better.

Only color fill so far (silver), but I've only owned it 2 days. Next is either Traction or Talon rubber grips. I also have 2 additional mags coming my way.

Well I guess ill post a picture, ameriglo night sights, ct laser, and traction grips
