Hey all.
I’ve been looking at the S&W line for a possible new carry pistol. One that caught my eye, and is comfy in my hand, is the M&P Shield Plus. These are the pistols that have what looks like a Hi Power cut on the slide in place of front cocking serrations. At least that’s what the 1911 guys call them.
Anyway, it’s the models with the 4 inch barrel I am most interested in with calibers in 9mm and 45acp, if they make any in this model.
I’d like to know what different variants they make in this model. I could only find 2 on the S&W site, one in 13+1 and the other in 7+1. I looked for one in 45acp, but never found one. Do they make one in 45acp?
Are there only 2 variants of this pistol? I’d prefer one with a red dot option with or without a thumb safety. Both are fine with me.
Can you all give me an idea if there are other models of these pistols that I couldn’t find? Maybe a 45acp?
Does anyone carry this pistol? I’d like to hear your thoughts on this one as a CCW pistol.
Any info you care to add is greatly appreciated.
