M&P Sport Bipod and Scope

Hello everyone, I just purchased my first AR15 - the M&P 15 Sport. I am looking at purchasing a UTG Tactical Bipod and also a Nikon ProStaff scope. I have the original handguard on it and I am trying to figure out how to attach the bipod to the original handguard. Can I simply buy a Magpul L3 rail section to attach directly to the handguard? Then, what size bipod is better for a 30 round magazine shooting from a bench. Final question is how high of a scope mount do I need. Looking at a UTG detach ring mounting rings. Alot of questions and any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I put the UGT American made quad rail on my sport. It solved a few things: It dissipates the heat better and with 4 rails you can attach what ever you like. I put it on my first Sport, like it so much I put it on my second Sport. Took 10 minutes at most.

Thanks rtquig. I actually put that same quad rail on my list yesterday and a second opinion seals the deal. I think I will also be ordering the UTG High profile detachable scope mounts and hope that it clears the rear fold down sight. I am sure that this list is the first of many accessories to be added.

I kept my Sports pretty simple. I changed to a quad rail on both, both have a Vtac sling, one has the Nikon P223 and the other has the Bushnell TRS-25.

I got same setup, Nikon scope and utg bipod, works great. TRS25 is great but for the short range shots, this rifle is extrimly accurate and could do better with optics, so it is a must as for me. There is also expesive Acog or Eotech etc options but I wouldn't waste more than $200 on it anyway... Nikon .223 optimized scope is the best option for MP15 I believe. Quad rail also got installed in 10 min.

Here's what my setup currently looks like. UTG bipod and front sight tri rail,picture may show NC star scope on 1522 but now is on sport, cheap setup but very happy with it.
