M&p trigger questoin

I have the m&p9c and those of you that have them. Whereabout do you put your trigger finger to shoot. Is this actually a double action only pistol. Im used to other ones like xds bersas and such. But sometimes Ill be shooting good and the next range trip ill be all over and cant hit diddley. Im either on or off. Or do I have a pistol that needs to be sent back in and checked out. Other than that issue I really like the gun. Thanks for any tips and stay safe.

I'd like to know also. I'm still fairly new to firearms and got my M&P back in April and only been to the range about five times(approxiamately 800 rounds fired +/-).

My recent outing to the range(yesterday), I was placing the first pad(I guess you could call it the fingertip) on the trigger and firing like such. I would say I did fairly well. Most of my shots were hitting center mass of the target this time around.

Since your asking the question of how to properly engage the trigger...I'm going to say it's not the weapon. There are a lot of factors that will affect your spread (grip, stance, trigger push, ammo, flinching, etc)...but generally speaking, if you push that trigger straight back and keep that front sight rock steady during the break (with a live round), it's going to go exactly where you point it. (unless you have one of those problem MP9 FS's - sorry I had to put that in there).
