M&P vs Pro question

I currently have a 9c for off-duty. I have been wanting to get a shield to replace it, but have had no luck. Now I am thinking of getting a full size with mag disconnect, no thumb safety or internal lock and night sights. Those are the specs for me to use for on-duty.

Time constraints mean that I would need a Shield within a couple of weeks, which I doubt will happen.

I have seen the Pro but I am not sure if I can get one and if it is worth it over the non-pro. I am not even sure if it would jive since it says Pro on the slide.

Thoughts?

May still try and switch away from 9c but it is just such a sweet gun.

Chances of getting any high-cap M&P are slim right now, and getting the list you want may not even be available. If it is a duty gun a LE supplier will have a much better chance of getting the right configuration. The 4.25" Pro does come with night sights but no mag safety. S&W doesn't have the night sights on any other of it's regular production guns at this time so you either get the Pro 4.25", a LE package or standard production and have the night sights added.

Check them out. The stockpile M&P's and have real low prices for military, LEO's & FF's + they send each pistol with a free extra mag.

Love my 4.25" pro's, the trigger although mot a Apex is not as gritty to the pull as a regular M&P.

I too absolutely love my M&P9 Pro! I've had it almost two months now and about 700 rounds. Trigger is nice and smooth now. Highly recommend one if you can find one. I liked the night sights but I upgraded them to the Trijicon HD night sights because I wanted something a little better. I haven't had a chance to try them out at the range yet due to the weather around here lately but practicing sight aquisition around the house is much easier and quicker in all levels of light I've noticed. The stock night sights are still nice though. I just wanted an upgrade. I will probably put them on my M&P9c or my new M&P45. Since I do a lot of business with my LGS they put them on for free.
