Does anyone know the difference between an M&P10 compliant and the normal M&P10? I can see the fixed stock, no flash hinder, and no pmag. Anything else?

Also can the fixed stock be replaced with a 6 position one?

Thanks,
~lj.

Everything can usually be changed; the question is how much work to do so. The only thing you can't change from what I have dealt with is a rifle with no magazine. If it's a mag well, then you are either stuck with it, or you are an advanced machinist to change it.

I got my compliant m&p 10 today, drilled the small pin that held the stock and buffer tube together. The stock that came with the gun is actually adjustable but I replaced it with a mil spec magpul ctr stock. All is well now for the adjustable stock.

Now to find 20round magazines without out costing me an arm...:)

10 round magazines are available from Home under sku 308-10rd-SS, they look exactly like the s&w one that was included except for the name on the bottom. I love their description: "Ammunition Storage Components .308 SR-25 10 Round Stainless Steel Magazine", would never have though to call them Ammunition Storage Components, that is much less intimidating than Magazine!

how far in does that pin go? is it just a roll pin?? i tried to grab it with a small ez-out but couldn't move it, so guess i'll try drilling now that my ctr stock is in.

I just drilled the stock out, not sure how far in it goes as I drilled it down to the buffer tube.

Ouch 39.99 each for 10 round mags, I found 5-20 round pmags on armslist for $35.00 each plus shipping. HOME is definatly not a place I would ever shop. It's ridiculous the price gouging thats going on right now.
