I agree. And the near $200.00 I paid to replace otherwise perfectly operating stock and sights with Magpul didn't feel like much of a bargain either . There ought to be a law against the willful exploitation of those suffering the 'Disorder.'

I posted bad info. Despite some posts on other forums stating the program was continuous for military, I wrote the head of military sales to confirm. Mr. Holt from S&W replied that the 40% off program that S&W was running did expire 31 Dec 2009 and was replaced with a new rebate program.

nice price, i know i seen a local gun shop selling the new 15-22 with the threaded barrel for 477. Which isnt 'bad', i paid 450 for mine back in September.
